“We continue to educate”: how the platform works for children to study from home

The Minister of Education, Nicolas Trottaannounced this Monday at a press conference the launch of a digital platform so that students can continue learning from their homes.

After Alberto Fernández communicated the class suspension until March 31, as a measure to prevent the spread of the coronavirus, the official presented “We continue educating”, a portal with pedagogical tools that will work together with Open Digital Television (TDA) channels, such as Paka Paka, Meeting, Depor TV Y Public TV.

According to the official, from Monday afternoon, they will begin to be broadcast two special programs in the Public TV, one from 9 to 11 and another from 14 to 16, with educational content for all levels, from initial to secondary. “The idea is to be able to accompany the boys in these 14 days and work on these contents,” explained the minister, referring to the use of this portal, which he defined as “a learning space to continue studying.”

Another important point that Trotta highlighted was the agreement reached by Enacom with the mobile phone companies, who promised that the use of this platform does not consume data.

The minister emphasized that, given the great diversity that exists at the educational level in Argentina, will work together with all teachers from the 24 jurisdictions. “It will be articulated with teachers,” said Trotta, highlighting the importance of the presence of teachers in their jobs.
