Victims of gender violence are exempt from the prohibition to circulate

The Office of Women (OM) of the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation published a guide of resources and measures adopted by the provincial judicial powers for the attention to cases of domestic and gender violence within the framework of preventive and compulsory social isolation.

The body headed by the Vice President of the Court, Elena Highton de Nolasco, reported that “faced with the need to file a judicial complaint, victims are exempt from the prohibition on driving. ”

The document was prepared in collaboration with the women’s and gender offices throughout the country to facilitate decision-making and judicial referral in the health emergency.

Likewise, the Instrument for registering cases of violence against women in the field of family relations, designed by the Office of Domestic Violence (OVD) of the highest court, was published on the OM official website.

The material can be downloaded and used by justice operators incorporating the data of the same, in order to obtain an orientation, immediately, on the risk level of the affected person.

“In this way, the Argentine Justice organized its resources to provide emergency care to the population in the face of urgent acts of domestic or gender violence,” they said in a statement.

In these cases, faced with the need to file a judicial complaint, victims are exempt from the prohibition to circulate.
