They confirmed five new cases of coronavirus in Argentina and there are already 17 infected

The national health authorities confirmed five new cases of coronavirus in Argentina, so the total number of infected amounted to 17, among which is a deceased man.

The new positive diagnoses were produced in Chaco (2), the City of Buenos Aires, San Luis and Río Negro.

So far there has been a death by COVID-19, last Saturday, at the Argerich Hospital. He was a 64-year-old man who had been in France and presented a complicated basic picture.

According to hospital sources, the virus was detected once the patient had died. He had been hospitalized for more than two days and had other health complications: He suffered from diabetes, hypertension, chronic bronchitis and kidney failure.

He was identified as Guillermo Abel Gómez. He had returned from his trip last February 25, and on the 28th of that month he began to develop fever, cough and sore throat, so on March 4 he had presented at a health center.

According to the part released by the Ministry of Health of the Nation, so far “Argentina does not register community transmission of the new SARS-Cov-2 coronavirus”, all cases are imported.

For his part, the Minister of Health Ginés González García He assured that the classes will be held normally. “What we are advising, because we cannot ban it, is that all mass events be postponed”, he added in an interview with the A24 news channel.

With respect to the man who died we know that there are 40 people in control. But with greater possibilities of contact were 16 people ”.
