Miguel Ángel Riquelme, governor of the state of Coahuila, revealed on his social networks that two allegedly involved in the femicide of nurses in Torreón were arrested this Friday night.

“Thanks to the investigative and intelligence work, and the coordination of the #SSP with the Office of the Attorney General of the State of Coahuila de Zaragoza, we have announced the arrest of the probable perpetrators of the three femicides of health workers that occurred yesterday in the City of # Torreón ”, wrote the president on his official Twitter.

The arrested people were identified by the governor as Luis N, a nurse at Clinica 16 of the Mexican Social Security Institute and a co-worker of one of the murdered; as well as Luis “N” by trade machetero, worker in the Torreón supply market.

The probable motive, according to the first data of the investigating agents, is the robbery, which completely discards that it has been a crime as a result of the work carried out by women in the area of ​​health. During the detention, belongings identified as stolen from the nurses’ home were also seized.

Three sisters, two of them nurses and the other secretary of the IMSS, they were killed in a house to the west of the city of Torreón, Coahuila. Through the state attorney general’s office it was revealed that the bodies were found around 00:30 with visible signs of violence.
