Prisoners made blankets, masks and sleeping bags for people on the street


Inmates of one of the prisons in Gorinathey made sleeping bags, blankets and masks for people who they live on the street. The open doors neighborhood center of the Hogar de Cristo, with headquarters in 142 and 527, had asked for their collaboration to help the homeless.

Total 21 inmates of pavilion 3 of the prison of the Buenos Aires Penitentiary Service They sewed five sleeping bags, five blankets, and 11 dozen masks, reforming different outerwear they had in the Unit.

To make this possible, the head of the Court of Guarantees No. 5 of La Plata, Marcela Garmendia, managed 25 sewing machines and raw materials.

Due to the restriction on movement, the delivery of ten bags of clothes and the production was made at the headquarters of the center, in the San Carlos neighborhood.
