WARSAW, March 31 (Reuters) – Poland will impose more restrictions on public life, including closing accesses to parks, beaches, bicycle rentals and other public places, to stop the spread of the coronavirus, Prime Minister Mateusz said on Tuesday. Morawiecki.
“Whether we can return to semi-normality depends on whether we obey the rules being introduced today,” Morawiecki said at a press conference, adding that the new limits will last at least two weeks.
He also said that the stores will introduce exclusive service hours for seniors, and minors will not be able to go outside if they are not accompanied by adults.
The actions announced by the government on Tuesday are in addition to the measures taken earlier this month. Poland has already banned gatherings of more than two people, excluding families, and has told citizens not to leave their homes except for essential activities.
As of Tuesday, 2,132 people have tested positive for coronavirus in a country of 38 million inhabitants, while 31 people have died, according to the Ministry of Health.
