The 36th edition of the Goya Awards has left one of the most elegant red carpets in its history, with outfits that had nothing to envy to others of an international nature such as the Venice Film Festival or Cannes, in which white has predominated and black and the ‘vintage’ airs. As usual, one of the most anticipated presences was Penélope Cruz, nominated for best actress for ‘Madres Paralelas’ (an award that Blanca Portillo has finally won) and in charge of delivering the first International Goya to her partner and friend Cate Blanchett.

Although little was known about the details of her look, if there was one thing for sure, it was that chanella firm for which she is an ambassador, would be her choice.

Loyal to the ‘Maison’, she chose a dress with a ‘lady’ silhouette that was reminiscent of a princess both for its voluminous skirt and the delicate fabric and color and that elevated her as one of the best dressed of the night.

The item belongs to the Spring-Summer 2021 Haute Couture Collection, a dusty pink piece with a satin finish and a square neckline, a fitted bodice that ended in two thin straps and a large ballerina skirt with gathered ruffles and several layers of tulle that gave it a lot of volume. The bass shortened before touching the ground, which conferred more movement to the piece and contributed to enhancing that romantic finish. It also had small three-dimensional flowers in red, white and pink tones, embroidered all over the garment that were arranged as a border on the straps and the end of the skirt.

As for the accessories, She has advocated discretion so that the dress does not lose prominence and has opted for earrings with the characteristic flower of Chanel, the camellia, with diamonds that hung and were arranged in two rows. She has added a matching bracelet and ring from the same firm.

The hairstyle and makeup have also fit perfectly thanks to a semi-updo with a bouffant on the crown that let fall some strands that framed her face and a set of eye shadows in pastel shades with slightly darker eyeliner – from Lancôme – that they gave a certain air to Audrey Heprburn. Her manicure was also in the same style, in baby tones and with a round nail.

The look of the one from Alcobendas is one more example of her ease to function on the red carpets and hit it with good taste. For the next one we will have to wait until Sunday, March 27, at the Oscar Awards galawhere this year he could take home the statuette again for his nomination in the same film, ‘Madres Paralelas’.
