The World Health Organization (WHO) declared Wednesday that the infection caused by this coronavirus can already be defined as a pandemic and encouraged all countries to take appropriate measures to prepare for it.

Thus, the Italian Government has decided to approve the “total blockade” of the country, with the closure of all businesses, except for those that offer basic necessities, such as supermarkets or pharmacies, for “a couple of weeks.”

“Italy will always be a unique area, a protected area. We are preparing to close all commercial activity, retail, except basic necessities and pharmacies, “Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte said at a press conference.
