New 7-seat Mercedes Benz GLB

Mercedes Benz presented in Argentina, in an event transmitted through the YouTube channel, the new GLB, a compact SUV that comes to complete the family of these vehicles with the proposal of adding more seats as a great differential.

Currently, one in three Mercedes-Benz vehicles manufactured is an SUV, and one in four belongs to the compact family. In this context, the GLB is the first Mercedes-Benz in this segment available with seven seats.

During the virtual presentation, Christian Kimelman, managing director of Mercedes-Benz Autos, stated: “The GLB came to occupy a space required by the market among mid-size SUVs, and we certainly understand that it will exceed expectations in this segment. From Mercedes -Benz we are proud and happy to be able to complete, with this model, the portfolio of our SUVs and we are convinced that our customers will like it as much as we do. Very soon they will be able to see this new vehicle in our network of dealers in the country ”

As for its design, it is based on the same platform that the GLA uses, but its wheelbase (2,900mm) is greater. This has allowed the brand to introduce 3 rows of seats, which will make it a clear benchmark in Premium family cars.
