Lollapalooza Festival in Argentina, Brazil and Chile is postponed to the end of the year due to coronavirus

Mar 13 (Reuters) – The Lollapalooza music festival in Argentina, Brazil and Chile was postponed to the end of the year due to the risk of coronavirus proliferation, the producer announced Friday.

The Brazil event, which was scheduled for April 3, 4 and 5, will take place from December 4 to 6, a statement from producer Time For Fun said.

The festival in Argentina and Chile, scheduled to take place on March 27, 28 and 30, was postponed to November 27, 28 and 29, he added.

Although not yet confirmed all the musicians who will participate in the event, the organizers anticipated the presence of Guns N’Roses, Travis Scott and The Strokes.

“The health and safety of our community was and continues to be paramount, and we are happy to be able to share another great edition of the festival, in accordance with the provisions of public authorities,” the producer reported.

The organizers clarified that the tickets purchased for the original dates will be valid for the rescheduled concerts and that in the next few days they will announce the refund policy for those who cannot attend.

This postponement is in addition to other similar measures taken around the world to prevent the spread of the coronavirus, which has killed more than 5,000 people and infected 137,000 in 123 countries.
