In the midst of the rain that hit the province of Buenos Aires on Tuesday, the La Plata firefighters they rescued a dog that fell into the Del Gato stream. With ropes and ladders they took him safe and sound and saved his life.
Employees of a supermarket located at 520 and 19 avenue saw when the animal fell and called the officers of the San Carlos Barracks who immediately arrived at the scene.
They took care of him, gave him heat and took him to the barracks where they discovered that the animal was lost and its owners were looking for it desperately. The dog is called Rocco and is a Shar Pei breed.
Upon entering the Facebook page “Lost Dogs in La Plata” they saw his photo and telephoned their owners to tell them not only that they found him, but that hours before they had saved his life.
Finally that same afternoon, there was a happy reunion between family and pet.
