Jalisco registered its second death by coronavirus; there are already seven nationwide

Enrique Alfaro, Jalisco governor, confirmed the second death from coronavirus (COVID-19) in the entity. There are already 475 infected in Mexico and seven are deceased.

“Today they confirmed to me that in Jalisco there was a second death in an ISSSTE clinic, it would be number two in Jalisco, confirmed in the morning ”the official said during an interview to Ciro Gómez Leyva from Formula Group.

According to Alfaro’s information, the victim died in a hospital of the Institute of Security and Social Services of State Workers (ISSSTE). The first deceased patient was 55 years old and had a history of diabetes and obesity.

In its last court, the Jalisco Ministry of Health has the registry of 57 positive cases, plus 225 suspected cases, waiting to be confirmed or discarded.

Likewise, it also reported that starting this Thursday, March 26, it will begin to apply “Rapid tests” en masse in the state, despite the fact that President López Obrador had given the indication that this type of tests should not be carried out, since the plan was to reserve them only for those who presented any symptoms related to COVID-19.

Alfaro argued that this measure is taken based on recommendations from the University of Jalisco, as well as from international organizations.

Hugo López Gatell, Undersecretary of Prevention and Health Promotion, affirmed that the metropolitan areas of the Mexico City, Guadalajara, and Monterrey they remain the centers with the highest frequency of infection.

The Jalisco government announced that, before the uncertain economic outlook facing the world for the spread of the coronavirus, a series of actions will be implemented such as forgiveness of payments and renewal of permits for tianguis and commerce in open markets for 90 days, as part of the economic support measures for the population.

This strategy will aim at the attention of three main actors. The first consists of support with 450 million pesos for micro and small companiesRegarding agricultural production, the government will pay the Maicero trust 150 million pesos and lastly, for the people who work in the informal sector, will go 400 million pesos.

Given the panorama of contagion that currently in the country has claimed the life of six people and what sum 405 confirmed cases of infection. Other states such as Mexico City have decided to take actions to protect the sectors that are most at risk from being affected by the implementation of the strategy of dsocial establishment to mitigate the spread of coronavirus.
