In the first quarter, the patenting of 0Km grew 12% year-on-year

In the first quarter of the year, 120,320 vehicles were patented in the country, 12.3% more than in the same period of 2022.

The data was reported this afternoon by the Association of Automotive Dealers of the Argentine Republic (Acara), according to which this month closed with 39,442 registrations, which represents increases of 14.2% year-on-year and 29.3% monthly (it should be clarified that March had 22 business days against the 18 that February had).

In Córdoba, 4,288 vehicles were registered in March, 13.4% more than in the same month last year and 27.9% more in the monthly comparison. In the first quarter, they totaled 12,941, 7.7% more than between January and March of last year.

In this regard, the president of Acara, Ricardo Salomé, highlighted the good start of the year, saying: “We continue with the certainty that, if we had had more cars available, the numbers would have been higher. Although this makes us sad, it is also positive because it leaves a good patent base for April”.

He also highlighted that six out of 10 patented vehicles are national models.

“We are working to also achieve an increase in the release of parts and models that are not manufactured here, to be able to complement a larger supply and not miss the opportunity to grow even more, since people are demanding it from us today,” he added. the automotive businessman, who projects 420,000 patents for this year.

  2. Peugeot 208: 3,537.
  3. Toyota Etios: 2,632.
  4. Toyota Hilux: 2,576.
  5. Ford Ranger: 1962.
  6. Volkswagen Amarok: 1,948.
  7. Renault Kangoo II: 1,626.
  8. Nissan Frontier: 1,185.
  9. Toyota Yaris: 1,116.
  10. Volkswagen Taos: 1,081.
