How Caring works, the application for those who return to work

President Alberto Fernández announced this Friday that in much of the country some economic sectors will begin to open gradually, but also clarified that those who return to their jobs must comply with the requirements established in the “Caring” platform, a technological application that allows citizens to carry out a health “self-check” and has the value of an affidavit.

It is a tool that Now available to download for free on cell phones or tablets, both in the Android and iOS systems, in which the user must first enter their personal data so that each case can be properly followed up.

At the beginning, the app asks the interested party to scan their ID or to manually enter all the data of the same. Then, it is necessary to complete all the information about the address where you are currently, indicating province, address and postal code, among other issues.

To continue, you must enable on your electronic device the geolocation. As a last step to register, the platform asks for a phone number so that the authorities can communicate with the citizen if necessary.

Then through this system You can start with the sanitary “self-control” process: The first step is to measure your body temperature (to do so, the application gives a series of recommendations such as always placing the thermometer on the same part of the body and not completing this stage after having recently bathed or practiced physical activity).

Subsequently, the user has to answer four basic questions related to symptoms characteristic of coronavirus: if you have suddenly noticeable loss of smell or taste, if you have a cough or sore throat, and if you experience shortness of breath or shortness of breath.

Finally, the person has to specify if they are pregnant, if they have or have ever had cancer, if they have diabetes or if they have liver, chronic kidney, respiratory or cardiac diseases. Once the process is finished, the app generates a certificate issued by the Ministry of Health attesting that the user “has no symptoms compatible with COVID-19“ and a credential that authorizes you to go to work the next 14 days, although it is recommended to repeat the “self-control” every 48 hours.

If the user performs an essential task, the test result is automatically linked to the Unique Certificate Enabling Circular (CUHC) in the same app through a QR code or can be shown next to the certificate to circulate issued by the employer.

Caring App: how to download it and how it works

The app was developed jointly between the Ministry of Public Innovation -following the requirements and needs of the Ministry of Health-, the Ministry of Science and Technology of the Nation, the Sadosky Foundation, the National Council for Scientific and Technical Research (Conicet) and the Chamber of the Argentine Software Industry (Cessi), which brought together the companies Hexacta, Globant, G&L Group, C&S, QServices, GestiónIT, Intive, Finnegans and Faraday.

The concentration of cases in the AMBA, key data in the arguments of the President

President Alberto Fernández affirmed this Friday that 86.2% of the cases of the coronavirus pandemic are concentrated in AMBA, and highlighted it in one of the seven plates with which he presented his exhibition and ratified the extension of the quarantine, which passes to phase 4 throughout the country, except in that region, that is, the City of Buenos Aires and the Great Buenos Aires.

In the last plaque, the President recalled the characteristics of each phase of isolation, which for the entire country passes to phase 4, with the exception of the Federal Capital and Greater Buenos Aires.

Phase 3, called Geographic Segmentation, includes national prohibitions, provincial exceptions, population mobility of up to 50%, considered the duplication of Covid-19 cases between 15 and 25 days, and determines segmentation by epidemiological criteria.

Phase 4, on the other hand, called Progressive Reopening, contemplates national prohibitions, provincial exceptions, population mobility up to 75% of it, the doubling time of cases must be extended to more than 25 days and the restrictions become local.
