The rector of the UBA, Alberto Barbieri, told Telam that despite the fact that the university is autonomous “it was decided to continue with the virtual classes“, while those students who were going to take the final in person to graduate in the middle of the year, each faculty will decide, according to the subject and the degree, whether or not to postpone it.
“At the time we produced a tentative calendar that provided for classes to start on June 1 and end by March of next year,” said Barbieri, adding: “The calendar is not modified, it will continue to be given virtually and each faculty, according to the specificity of the degree and subjects, will define which contents are given in virtual form and which in person “.
In this sense, he explained that those contents that each faculty decides should be given in person will be postponed. until the national government decides.

The Minister of Education Nicolás Trotta stated, in radio declarations, that the academic calendar of the UBA was not going to be able to be met in person from June 1.
