Disconnect.- A young man with a disability and his father will walk the Camino de Santiago to “win the compostela”

This Monday Álvaro and his father Ildefonso embark on an adventure as pilgrims on the Camino de Santiago with the aim of not only winning the Compostela, but also documenting and sharing the experience on social networks.

Álvaro, as he defines himself, is a young man with “abilities that you cannot even imagine” with a clear objective: to get to Santiago with his father and “win the compostela”. Likewise, it is recorded in the biography of the Twitter profile (@CaminodeAlvaro) that father and son have created to register their venture.

Their journey started today from Malaga after receiving the blessing of their pastor yesterday after Mass, a moment they decided to share publicly and for which many are beginning to know their history.

It does not take more than 15 seconds of video to appreciate in the face of Álvaro, and also in that of his father, the importance and illusion that this challenge represents for the family.

The couple is accompanied by a family friend, in charge of taking them by car to the town of Sarria, in the province of Lugo, where they will begin their journey to Santiago.
