HAVANA, Mar 20 (Reuters) – President Miguel Díaz-Canel announced on Friday the closure of Cuba’s borders, except for Cuban residents abroad, in a move that seeks to curb the spread of the coronavirus.
In a live program on local television, Díaz-Canel announced that the country already has 21 confirmed cases of the disease. On Wednesday he had reported a death, the first in his territory, a 61-year-old Italian.
