The free telephone line 134, enabled by the national government to denounce people who violate the coronavirus quarantine, received 2400 calls on its first day of operation, of which 130 cases are investigated.
The idea is that through this initiative people get involved and alert on those citizens who arrived from any of the risk countries (all of Europe, the United States, China, Japan, South Korea, Iran, Brazil and Chile) and do not do the mandatory 14-day quarantine decreed by President Alberto Fernández.
The difference between the calls received and the cases to investigate occurred because they check whether the complaints are credible, but also many of the calls were to ask for guidance: people dialed that number instead of calling 107.
This Tuesday, the service debuted with 130 real complaints after calls will be crossed with databases of the Ministry of Health and Migrations. In these cases, the security forces are immediately deployed to verify.
