Coronavirus: the Government added the transfer of minors to the exceptions in the quarantine

The transfer of children and adolescents from separated parents was authorized as “exceptional activity” and it adds to the list of permits to circulate during the social, preventive and compulsory isolation decreed by the Government to mitigate the spread of the coronavirus.

This decision was made in order to “guarantee the rights to maintain personal relationships and direct contact with their parents or emotional references”, indicated the resolution of the Chief of Cabinet of ministers.

The regulations issued this Friday authorize the transfer of the child to the home of the other parent “as long as it is in the best interest” of the boys, and in the case of being a single-parent family “the transfer may be carried out by either of the two spouses or an emotional reference who lives with him.

The resolution authorizes that this transfer is “once a week”, and an affidavit approved by resolution 132/20 of the Ministry of Social Development must be shown.
