Coronavirus: in full quarantine they defended the thesis, 10 were taken out and received from architects

From childhood they knew that they wanted to be architects and they worked hard to achieve it. So much so that not even the coronavirus pandemic stopped them: they defended the thesis, got a 10 and received it.

And so it was that in full quarantine, Jonathan and Christian became the first “virtual graduates” of the National University of Córdoba.

It was six uninterrupted years of study and a lot of work. Christian was drawing for an architect, and Jonathan worked as a valet and lifeguard to settle his career. Today, all that effort paid off.

After the March 31 holiday, the teachers met and told them they had to perform on April 6. So each one from home got ready and they got together for the final test. “We took the exam at Christian’s house, we lived a few blocks away. It was weird, but one nice experience”Jonathan told in dialogue with TN and The People.

In principle they had about an hour to defend the thesis, but a few minutes before they were told that they had to do it in 30 minutes. So against the clock they made the summary and confidently appeared to take the exam. “We thought we were going to get a seven or an eight, we didn’t expect a 10. So we are very happy and proud “Christian argued.

The thesis was based on a strategic plan for the tourist recovery of Miramar, a small town located 200 kilometers from the Cordovan capital and it practically disappeared after a flood.

“The water took 37 apples and all the people had to leave the place. Through our project we seek to generate strength from the ruins that were left, and we planned to do it in 10 years, “explained Jonathan.

Little by little the place was recovering and nowadays the inhabitants live from the pejerrey fishing in the Mar Chiquita lagoon and from a hotel casino. A few years ago a waterfront was built to avoid a possible advance of the lagoon.

“Between 1973 and 1976 it was the main tourist destination in the province. We want to promote tourism so that Miramar is reborn “, the young man concluded enthusiastically.
