Coronavirus in Argentina | The City closed nine bars for violating the pandemic law


The Buenos Aires authorities closed a bowling alley and nine bars during the early hours of Sunday, which their owners adapted to function as such, for violating Decree 140/2020 on the coronavirus signed by the head of government, Horacio Rodríguez Larreta.

Officials of the Judiciary, the Government Control Agency (AGC) and the City Police they carried out a total of 168 inspections in local Buenos Aires night to monitor that the people in charge of the bars complied with the norm dictated against the pandemic.

The inspectors found that the owners of the vast majority of establishments had decided not to open their doors or, who did, first adapted them to sanitary emergency regulations to prevent the disease from spreading.

The closed bowling was Volt, on Córdoba avenue at 4100, which despite having low blinds it was working like there was just a “friends meeting” beyond that, according to article 3 of the decree, all bowling alleys had to suspend activities. The closure also reached Temple, Uptown and America.

The authorities also nine bars closed: seven, because they allowed dances to be held in their facilities, and thus they distorted the authorization that prevents this activity; and two others for exceeding the limit of 200 attendees as the regulation marks.

Decree 140 of the Buenos Aires Government establishes the suspension of any event, meeting or event of an eventual, artistic, musical or festive nature greater than two hundred people.

It also suspended activities in all establishments registered under the heading “Class C dance venue” and restricted the occupancy capacity by fifty percent for all religious activities that take place in temples and / or establishments.
