Coronavirus | “I don’t have to explain to anyone”: the whim of a detainee for violating the quarantine

The quarantine that governs throughout Argentina due to the pandemic of coronavirus it is mandatory. After this situation, there were two more arrests in the city of Cordoba: that of a 43-year-old man from the Las Flores neighborhood, and that of another 36, from the Santa Isabel neighborhood. They were both in the same vehicle, where a 44-year-old woman also traveled, who was identified and transferred to her home, since it has minors in its charge.

Like the 26-year-old detainee, who was resisting quarantine, the two men were intercepted by a police control and insulted the agents because they refused to comply with the restrictions.

The head of the provincial Highway Police, Héctor Gutiérrez, confirmed daily The voice that only on the routes of that province more than 40 people were arrested for failing to comply with the quarantine, while three others were arrested for returning from abroad and not isolate yourself at home.

Among these cases is that of a 54-year-old woman from the town of La Cumbre, who returned to the country on Saturday, March 14 from Chile and violated mandatory quarantine.

That is why the Prosecutor’s Office of Cosquín, in charge of Jorgelina Gómez, ordered his imputation for the crime of disobedience to authority and ordered house arrest for her “in order to guarantee compliance with the preventive measure ordered by the health authorities in relation to the coronavirus pandemic.”
