Coronavirus: donations from members of the Córdoba Bureau to the Province

Córdoba Convention & Visitors Bureau authorities and representatives of partner companies spoke with members of the provincial Ministry of Health to offer a series of services and contributions in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic.

The entity, which brings together event organizers and categorized suppliers in the meetings tourism sector, has implemented a membership contribution registry, which will remain active as long as sanitary measures are in force.

Specifically, the Córdoba Bureau agreed with the health authorities to set up a sanitary tent within the city of Córdoba (possibly at the Rawson Hospital), similar to another already placed at the Children’s Hospital.

He also proposed producing signage in affected sectors and hospitals, preventive signage for places that still have a flow of people, setting up offices or box inside tents, hotels or places arranged for attention; and to specify the sending of snacks for health personnel.

It also made available two double-decker, single bed buses, with human resources included, for the transfer of personnel and health authorities, in addition to a 19-seat combi, sound service for press conferences, coordination of material and people logistics, and collaboration for the development of conferences and other required instances.

In turn, partner hotels based in Villa Carlos Paz are already in contact with the hospital in that city to donate mattresses, sheets and other supplies for the target line.

“Reason for this pandemic, our activity that begins the fort of his activities in March, never started. The level of work is null and the forecasts indicate that the activity will be like this, at least, until August of this year”, explained Daniel Quinteros , President of the Córdoba Bureau.

The businessman added that, despite this context, the entity and its partners want “to contribute their bit, a little more or a little less, depending on the possibilities of each partner and each subsector.”

He added that the entity maintains permanent contact with the president of the Córdoba Tourism Agency, Esteban Avilés, both for the coordination of these contributions and to analyze the situation in the sector.
