Coronavirus | A doctor in Chaco who had treated a fatal victim of Covid-19 died


This Friday morning the victim number 38 by coronavirus in Argentina. He is a 61-year-old doctor who worked in the Health Department of the Municipality of Resistencia, Chaco.

As you could know TN.com.ar from provincial sources, Francisco Marín had attended Ana María Tonzar, who died on Tuesday from Covid-19 after having shared mate with the retired doctor who came from Spain and who was identified as the “zero” patient of that province.

The man had diabetes and first isolated himself at home, but when the condition worsened he was transferred to the Femechaco sanatorium in the Chaco capital.

After spending six days hospitalized in the emergency department, he died this Friday. He is the seventh victim in Chaco, which has already registered 99 infections.

Marín became Argentina’s 38th fatality. In addition, the number of people infected is 1265.

Of this total, 622 (49.2%) are imported, 398 (31.4%) are close contacts of confirmed cases, 103 (8.14%) are cases of community circulation and the rest are under epidemiological investigation.
