Coronavirus | 270 Argentines who were stranded in Cancun returned to the country


An Airbus 330 of Argentinian airlines landed this Monday afternoon at Ezeiza international airport with 270 Argentines stranded since March 20 in Mexico.

Flight AR1371, which departed Monday from Cancun, Quintana Roo state, arrived at 7:10 p.m. The Government thus carries out the Gradual, Planned and Safe Reopening Plan of the borders after closing them in mid-March to try to prevent the coronavirus from entering the country.

During the first phase of special flights, between March 18 and 27, 44 special operations that allowed the return of more than 14,000 people from Rio de Janeiro, Florianópolis, San Pablo, Porto Seguro, San Salvador de Bahía, Bogotá, Lima, Miami, Madrid, Cancún and Punta Cana.

“These flights are part of the role we have as a flag line. We are very proud and committed to the work we are doing,” said Pablo Ceriani, president of Aerolineas Argentinas.
