COEN: expand health emergency in four regions Peru

In order to continue the care of the people affected and affected by the coastal El Niño, the Ministry of Health (Minsa) extended the health emergency in four regions by 90 days, the National Emergency Operations Center (COEN) reported.Follow @socie_ECpe

According to Supreme Decree No. 005-2017-SA, published in the newspaper El Peruano, the measure will be adopted in Ica, Áncash, La Libertad and Cajamarca. The extension will take effect from May 15 and it will be up to the Ministry of Health and the health directorates to carry out the immediate actions of response and rehabilitation. In addition, measures must be taken to reduce the high risk that still exists due to rainfall, water, floods, among others.

The norm also establishes that the balances of the resources resulting from the contracting of the established goods and services may be used within the term of the extension of the health emergency declaration to contract goods and services of the same listings, as long as they are not have been able to complete the required amounts.
