China approves clinical trials of its first coronavirus vaccine: state media


BEIJING, March 17 (Reuters) – China has authorized the start of clinical trials of its first vaccine developed to combat the new strain of coronavirus, the People’s Daily newspaper of the ruling Communist Party reported Tuesday.

The team of researchers is led by Chen Wei of the Chinese Military Academy of Medical Sciences, the article said.
