Checks: they extend the deadlines by 30 days and allow a second presentation

Yesterday, the Central Bank of the Argentine Republic (BCRA) decided to grant an additional 30 days for the presentation of checks on time, while the emergency arranged by the Government to stop the coronavirus advance is in force.

The measure was ordered through Communication A 6950 issued yesterday, with which it seeks to provide an answer to the problems generated after the bank clearing was launched again on Thursday the 26th.

Checks: lack of funds is widespread

The measure also has a second presentation for checks rejected for sufficient funds in bank accounts and that banks will not be able to apply commissions to their clients in this type of situation.

This decision arises at a time when SME business entities demand support from the financial system.
