Calderón criticized that Minister Piña and Creel have not sat next to AMLO

The former president of Mexico, Felipe Calderon Fennel, criticized the accommodation of the presidium that was presented during the ceremony that was held for the commemoration of the promulgation of the Political Constitution of the United Mexican States (CPEUM) in 1917, especially the place where the president of the Board of Directors of the Chamber of Deputies and the Minister President of the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation.

Through two tweets, the former militant of the National Action Party (PAN) described as a “mistake” that they have seated Minister Piña and Deputy Santiago Creel on the edge of the formation of the presidium, while some secretaries of State They were accommodated together with President Andrés Manuel Lopez Obrador (AMLO).

To support his annoyance and claim, the former president explained that it is important that the representatives of the three powers of the nation —Executive, Legislative and Judicial— sit together, because They appear as the face of the State; while the secretaries are part of a single power and are subordinate to it.

“Very good point. The representatives of the Executive, Legislative and Judicial branches should be in the center of the presidium. the military are secretaries of State, subordinate to the Executive. It is a mistake to have sent presidents of the legislature and the judiciary to the shore”, he wrote this Monday, February 6.

There he did not conclude with his questions about the protocol that was carried out at the ceremony on February 5, since he reiterated what misunderstanding of the formation of the presidiumspecifically because of the place held by the heads of the Ministry of the Interior (Segob), the Navy (Semar) and the National Defense (Sedena), corporations and dependencies “subordinate” to the Executive.

“The Secretaries of the Interior, the Navy and Defense do not represent a constitutional power that only represents the president who is present and to whom they are subordinate. The presidents of Congress and the SCJN do represent the Legislative and Judicial Powers, respectively.”

Calderón Hinojosa’s message was in response to the tweet published by actor Mauricio Castillo, in which he used the quote tool to resume the tweet he issued Jesus Ramirez Cuevas, general coordinator of Social Communication of the Presidency of the Republic, where he questioned that not all those present have complied with the protocol, emphasizing that Minister Piña allegedly had not gotten up from her chair at a time during the ceremony where all those present were standing.

Despite all the scandal caused by the criticism of Ramírez Cuevas, the Mexican president took a moment from his morning conference this Monday and he said he was proud that the protocol was broken in the ceremonya, because he pointed out that this shows that there is already an independence of the powers and they are not subordinate to the executive.

Finally, López Obrador celebrated that the attitude of the minister president realizes that a president can no longer give orders to any other power, in this specific case to the ministers: “It is excessive when in an exaggerated way one speaks of a dictatorship, of a tyranny”.
