Almost 20 thousand detainees and more than 10 thousand complaints for violating the quarantine

Since the social and preventive isolation was decreed to contain the advance of the coronavirus in Argentina, the federal forces detained almost 20 thousand people and they notified more than 640 thousand in the whole country for violating the rule.

The Federal Police, the National Gendarmerie, the Naval Prefecture and the Airport Security Police (PSA) carried out different procedures to guarantee that the quarantine established by the Government has been complied with since March 20. From that day until this Tuesday, forces detained 19,939 citizens and notified or delayed others 644,009. In addition, they controlled more than 500,000 cars, of which 1,597 were hijacked.

For their part, the City Police arrested 362 people and others 2764 were delayed, notified, or moved to their homes, while 112 vehicles were seized.

Meanwhile, the Santa Fe Police, until this Tuesday registered 6698 people between detainees and notified and 406 hijacked cars.

The Buenos Aires Police, until Monday inclusive, carried out 16,057 interventions, of which in more than 13,500 the violation of the quarantine was verified.

In this way, between the federal forces and the police of the City, Santa Fe and Buenos Aires, There are about 687,300 people among those detained and notified for violating the quarantine.

From March 16 to Tuesday there were 11,087 calls to 147 to report cases of quarantine violation and 3,506 actions by the Federal Justice and the Buenos Aires Prosecutor for the same crime.

Finally, since March 13 1,822 nightclubs were inspected, of which 15 were closed (two dance clubs and 13 bars).
