Against the Covid-19: business entities in Córdoba have already raised more than $ 26 million

A group of 43 business chambers from Córdoba have already raised more than 26 million pesos, within the framework of a solidarity campaign launched to help NGOs and the Province to face the coronavirus pandemic.

“Córdoba, Here We Are. Companies united against Covid-19 ”, is the motto of this move that has its own website (www.acaestamos.com.ar), where contributions can be made, and which has managed to collect that amount in 14 days.

“It is a complete sample of the commitment of the business sector commitment of the provincial business sector that, over and above the difficulties that are underway, has been making an additional effort to reduce the impact of Covid-19,” said the organizers of this initiative.

The figure obtained is made up of 50 percent for cash and the other half for contributions to the manufacture of plastic masks that are intended for both the security forces and health care personnel.

The proceeds are channeled through the Food Bank Foundation, Cáritas and the Government of Córdoba, through their logistics teams.

The organizers assured that the food distributed has allowed 74,000 people to attend so far, through more than 230 neighborhood organizations.

Meanwhile, until last Saturday 10,200 masks were delivered, and a future delivery of more than 13,000 is expected. In total, they estimate reaching 35,000 masks.

A key aspect, in this context, is that the campaign is audited by the consultancy PWC, in order to guarantee that the funds obtained are used for the aforementioned purposes.
