Abascal to the PP: We do not accept gifts or blackmail

Toledo, May 26. The president of Vox, Santiago Abascal, has warned the PP this Friday that his party does not accept “neither gifts nor blackmail” to form a government after the regional elections on May 28, and has shown his discomfort with the president of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, for his proposal to the PSOE to govern the most voted list and has even considered that if the popular leader himself does not withdraw it, he will become “a danger to the unity of Spain.”

In the closing ceremony of the campaign in Toledo, held in the Plaza del Ayuntamiento and attended by more than five hundred people, Abascal wondered why his party “is obliged to support” governments led by the PP in communities such as the Region of Murcia or Extremadura and has stressed that his formation will not accept “neither gifts nor blackmail, not one”.

“We are going to make the journey of winning alone”, has assured Abascal, who has reproached the PP for offering the Socialists to govern the list with the most votes and for not “seeming the crimes committed by the PSOE very serious”, among which He has cited “the purchase of votes”, which they paid for “with money and even with cocaine” and among which he has also included the reform of the Penal Code to eliminate the crime of sedition and reform that of embezzlement.

In fact, he has opined that “this week the PSOE has started to run a criminal marathon” and has pointed out that “they are going to complete all the crimes of the Penal Code”.

Abascal, who has not let his stay in Toledo go by to remember the siege of the Alcázar during the Civil War and has reproached that the central government, with the approval of the Democratic Memory Law, “intends that children are now ashamed of their parents when only they should feel proud”, he has summarized his position by maintaining that “the PSOE is a plague”.

And he has also insisted on marking the difference between Vox and PP because “while the PP wants a 360-degree change, so that everything remains the same, Vox wants a radical change, 180 degrees,” he said.

In this sense, he has stressed that his party defends the same approaches throughout Spain and, in the face of criticism from the Castilian-Manchego president and candidate for re-election, Emiliano García-Page, for Vox’s support for the transfer of the Tagus to Segura, Abascal has reiterated this defense of the transfer in Toledo.

“We want a national hydrological plan that brings water from wherever it is needed to Castilla-La Mancha and from Castilla-La Mancha to where it is needed. Water for all Spaniards,” he stressed.

Abascal has also had words of recognition for the vice president of the Republican Party of Chile, Carlos Martín, who was among those attending the Toledo rally and has celebrated that both parties have been “brothers for a long time”, and has predicted that in the same way that the republicans in Chile are the first party, Vox will soon be so in Spain as well.
