YPF and Holcim signed an agreement whereby the national fuel producer will be the supplier of 100 percent of the natural gas and petroleum coal consumed by its cement production plants in the country for two years.
As both companies announced today, the agreement covers the demand for fuel from the factories in Malagueño (Córdoba), Campana (Buenos Aires province), Capdeville (Mendoza), and Puesto Viejo (Jujuy).
The relationship between YPF and Holcim began in 2006, when the national oil company began supplying the cement company with lubricants and fuels.
To this, an agreement was added in 2019 by which YPF LUZ currently delivers wind energy that is produced at the Los Teros plant, in Azul, Buenos Aires province, and that is equivalent to the consumption of 30 thousand homes.
“This agreement, added to the alliance for the use of renewable energies, reinforces the commitment of both companies with their customers and with the environment,” said Carlos Casado, Operations Director of Holcim Argentina, in a statement today.
In this regard, added Agustín Rebello, manager of the YPF Industries business: “The alliance between two leading companies in their markets reaffirms the commitment of both to provide excellence to their customers.”
