After several weeks of negotiations and in the midst of a severe financial crisis, the temporary hotels and hostels of Tucumán were enabled to work again, starting next Monday, respecting all preventive health measures.
The undersecretary general of the Tucumán Governorate, Pedro Sandilli, was in charge of announcing the news, and he clarified that all biosafety protocols established by the Ministry of Health. Even the Emergency Operating Committee (COE) explained that the responsibility will be extended to couples who attend hotels.
“Those people who make use of these establishments must present a photocopy of the DNI so that the traceability of the clients can be done ”, indicated Sandilli. And he explained that the request for personal documentation was one of the conditions set by the Ministry of Health. “It is an essential requirement because if there is a contagion you need to know where it was generated“
The reopening permit comes after the Union of Hotels, Bars and Restaurants of Tucumán will present various biosafety protocols to government officials, and raise the emergency of the sector, which has been inactive for more than 100 days.
However, Sandilli clarified that, if the epidemiological situation due to the coronavirus worsens in the province, they will return to an earlier phase and this type of activity should close their doors again.
This Friday, 7 new cases were detected in Tucumán, and the total number of infections amounted to 100. However, the health authorities assure that “the situation is controlled”, which allows the reopening of different activities.
