Spain confirms Calviño’s candidacy to preside over the Eurogroup

Jun 25 (Reuters) – Spain will formalize its candidacy today for the government’s economic vice president, Nadia Calviño, to be the candidate for the Eurogroup Presidency, confirmed La Moncloa on Thursday.

The Executive stressed that Spain has never held the presidency of the Eurogroup, an organization that has also never been chaired by a woman before.
