By means of a resolution published this Tuesday in the Official Gazette, the Ministry of Energy determined that it will maintain the same rates
The Government decided to freeze electricity rates until last October 31 with the value of last year, due to the health emergency caused by the coronavirus and the economic problems caused by the quarantine.
By means of a resolution published this Tuesday in the Official Gazette, the Ministry of Energy determined that it will maintain between May 1 and October 31 the same rates for the transport and distribution of electrical energy that prevailed during the same period last year .
Thus, the definitive Seasonal Winter Programming for the Wholesale Electricity Market (MEM) was approved, submitted by the Management Company of the Wholesale Electricity Market (Cammesa).
Resolution 70/2020 also established for the period from May 1 to October 31 the application of the Power Reference Prices (Potref) and the Stabilized Price of Energy (PEE) in the MEM that governed the last year.
These will be applied to the demand for electrical energy declared by the distribution agents and providers of the public distribution service of the MEM, as intended to supply its users, or those of other providers.
The PEE together with the Potref and the Stabilized Price of Transport (PET) must be used for their corresponding application in the tariff charts of the distribution agents and other providers of the public distribution service that require it.
In addition, the Ministry of Energy established the continuity of the values corresponding to each MEM distribution agent for the public service for the transmission of high-voltage electric energy and for trunk distribution, established in 2018.
