Córdoba authorizes industrial activity in “white” areas


The Emergency Operations Center (COE) decided last night to enable the reopening of industries in the white areas in the next few hours.

The resolution was adopted during a meeting of the Productive Cabinet of the Province, which was led by Governor Juan Schiaretti.

In these cases, the flexibilization of the isolation should be carried out following the respective protocols as obligatory guides for the correct implementation of the flexibilized activities, it was indicated from the Province.

“From this moment, the municipalities are going to be the ones who exercise control together with the Ministry of Government, so that this idea tending to get 7,200 workers to join the 820 industries of the 371 towns in the interior of the province “Expressed the Minister of Industry, Eduardo Accastello.

There are exceptions to the quarantine for the exporting industry and those considered specific that were authorized through national resolution 179/2020. Within this group, those whose purpose is to provide goods and services are considered, among which are hardware stores, the provision of carafes, oil and gas, materials for pens, mechanical workshops, biofuel production, suppliers of agricultural machinery, roads , tanneries, computer supplies, among others.

Meanwhile, auto parts, metalworking, appliances and textiles are not excepted, unless they fall under the exceptions of being a value chain for an essential sector.

Within the framework of the meeting, a comprehensive approach was made to the industrial, commercial, agricultural, and especially tourism sectors, with the purpose of evaluating measures to mitigate the crisis generated by the Covid-19 pandemic.

The possibility of continuing to advance in the credit lines with the endorsement of Banco de Córdoba was also analyzed.

In this sense, Accastello expressed: “There are already 600 businesses that have requested them, on an average of about 40 thousand pesos in credits for rentals of their businesses. There is a request from the governor to work so that all Cordovan and Cordovan who require it have the possibility of collecting their salary from this line of credits that has six months grace, 12 months repayment and 24 percent interest, ” the official said.

Wood industry: 70% drop in sales

Companies in the province ask for speed in aid.

The Chamber of Wood, Furniture and Equipment of Córdoba (Cammec) made public its concern about the fall suffered by the sector in its sales and by the

consequences that companies in their value chain are suffering.

According to their own survey, almost 60 percent of the companies in the sector have a sales drop of more than 70 percent. “The sector already came with a drop of 30 percent during 2019, with which the quarantine took it with a minimum business structure,” explained Marco Puricelli, manager of the chamber, who warned the decapitalization of companies to stay active. .
