The use of masks or homemade chinstraps will be mandatory from Monday on public transport throughout Argentina. This was established by the Ministry of Transport of the Nation in a resolution, within the framework of the coronavirus pandemic.
“Establish the mandatory use of protection elements that cover the nose, mouth and chin for people who remain or circulate in the passenger transport services by automotive and rail of national jurisdiction from April 20, 2020, “said resolution 95/2020 published this Saturday in the Official Gazette.
The new measure is part of the set of public policies implemented to help prevent the spread of Covid-19, a Transport statement said.
The measure will be in force until the prevention policies related to the compulsory social distancing and whose objective is to prevent the spread of the coronavirus in public transport, considered one of the most favorable places for contagion.
The Government stressed the importance of minimize the use of public transport by users, and implement measures that take care of the health of all Argentines.
