“On Thursday I signed the decree and from Monday throughout the Buenos Aires territory the use of the nose and mouth cover becomes mandatory“said the provincial president.
The decree has not yet been published but the Buenos Aires Minister of Health Daniel Gollán days before he had anticipated that the measure would be “more or less on the same terms as in the City of Buenos Aires.”
In Buenos Aires territory, as of last Wednesday, the use of the mask is mandatory to customers and employees of commerce and for those who travel on public transport. The fines in this district go up to $ 80 thousand.
However, the amount of fines that will be applied to those who do not respect the regulations in the Province.
From the provincial Health portfolio they pointed out that the objective of the mask is to reduce the chances of contagion of Covid-19 at a time of year when temperatures begin to drop. “The cold is coming and many people will be sneezing and coughing, droplets (of saliva) can reach up to seven meters“Gollán warned.
