Companies will be able to register from this Monday to the Work and Production Assistance Program

Companies affected by the coronavirus pandemic will be able to register as of this Monday to the Emergency Assistance Program for Work and Production (ATP), to be able to access aid to pay workers’ wages, postponement and / or exemption. the payment of employer contributions and the extension of unemployment insurance.

The ATP was created by DNU 332/2020, and seeks to protect job sources in the midst of the crisis due to the restrictions imposed on circulation to stop the spread of Covid-19.

Although the pre-registration to obtain the extension of employer contributions started last Thursday “and until the day before it added more than 220,000 registered firms”, from tomorrow companies that want to access the rest of the benefits will be able to do so.

The registration “which will last until next Wednesday” must be made on the AFIP website, with your fiscal code and declare the economic information that the Program requires.

Then a stage of analysis of the company will begin and, in case of being affected from the quarantine, the benefit will be applied.

The Program consists of the State taking over part of the salaries of the affected companies, either with Repro or Complementary Allocations to the Salary; a reduction or postponement of employer contributions and an increase in unemployment benefits.

Employers reached by the benefits must accredit to AFIP the payroll of the personnel reached, and to what extent their activity was affected by the isolation.

For its part, the Ministry of Labor, Employment and Social Security will consider the information and documentation submitted by the company, may release additional data and may arrange for evaluation visits.
