Coronavirus | #SomosResponsables: the country’s newspapers put their covers together in a prevention campaign

The country’s main media joined the campaign #We are responsible, proposed by the Association of Argentine Journalistic Entities (ADEPA), with recommendations for restrict circulation of the coronavirus. Thus, this Thursday, on all the covers of the newspapers, the same slogan reads: “We stop the virus among all. Let’s turn responsibility accountable. “

This initiative had already been adopted last Sunday by the main Spanish media, who agreed to viralize the slogan: “We stop this virus together”.

Appealing to collaboration and social commitment, the main media in the country published different recommendations in their covers that make us responsible citizens.

We are responsible staying at home, except force majeure. It is not a vacation, “says one of the slogans that appears in the advertisements that appear this Thursday in the country’s main morning and digital media.

The campaign is not only for the media and journalists, it is for all Argentines. Therefore, the idea is that users viralize it on social networks showing their photos and videos of how they act responsibly, including the hashtag #We are responsible.

The objective is to create a chain of messages in which citizens tell what they do to help stop the spread of the virus, at home, if they have to go to work, to care for risk groups, to study or work remotely, if they have virtual meetings with friends or even initiatives to do physical activity at home.

“In the face of the global advance of the pandemic and the impact it is having in our country, the media unite their voices and their actions in pursuit of a unambiguous and forceful message, to express together with citizens across the country the need for we all commit ourselves to contain the virus and take care of people“ADEPA said in a statement.

And he remarked: “The success of the measures announced in our country depends on the citizen commitment and the articulation that we can make between the State, organizations, companies, the media, civil society and citizens.”

The ADEPA campaign has the support of the National Academy of Journalism, Independent Agencies (Ai), Argentine Advertising Association (AAP), Direct and Interactive Marketing Association of Argentina (AMDIA), Digital Journalism Association (APD), Camera Argentina of Media Agencies (CAAM), Circle of Argentine Creatives (CCA), Circle of Communication Directors (DirCom), Business Commission of Independent Media (CEMCI), Professional Council of Public Relations, Argentine Advertising Council (CPA), Argentine Journalists Forum (FOPEA), Interactive Advertising Bureau Argentina (IAB) and Union of Interactive Agencies (Interact).
