Alcatel is back with low-end mid-range equipment



Remember the Alcatel brand? Of French origin, in fact the denomination synthesizes the name of the original company, Alsacian Cables and Telephones, it was famous in the Argentine market a couple of decades ago. The novelty is that it is back and was presented in society this week in Córdoba.

The technology company, which never left the country but spent years of hibernation, went out to find its place in the cell phone market with equipment with significant features and affordable costs for the user. Martín Cricco, commercial director of the firm, anticipated the arrival of nine different teams.

It consists of five cell phones (1.1V; 1S; 1VPlus and 3X) and four tablets (Kids, seven inches, 10 inches and 10 inches with keyboard), with which it aims to grow one hundred percent in sales throughout a year in itself complicated for the economy.

It is the third brand of cell phones in the country and refocuses on trying to capture the millennial public.

These days, the Alcatel 3X will be on sale, a team with triple assisted camera, with artificial intelligence and memory of 64 gigabytes of storage and four gigabytes of processing. Its price will be around 16,499 pesos, said Cricco.

In addition, the brand began to carry out a strong positioning task among the adolescent public with equipment that meets the demand of an audience that was born in the age of technology and is demanding when it comes to agreeing to a purchase.

The kids’ tablet also features innovations that run in parallel with its 16-gigabyte memory. At less than seven thousand pesos, it has a durable cover, folding rear support and Kidomi software is pre-installed, a platform with educational content for children and families, as well as parental control of applications and limits on the use of the equipment.

“We are starting to work very hard through local merchants, helping them to commercialize technology with more current systems and also bringing them closer to the millennial public that needs another approach to be able to contact them,” explained Cricco.

In the last two years the brand has grown accompanied by Radio Victoria and now it aims to consolidate its third place in the equipment market. The entire range has local technical service.
